Planting Seeds of Intention

Happy spring equinox!

Is there anything more exciting than the first promise of spring??

The spring equinox lies midway between winter and summer solstice. This is the time each year when day and night are equal. The coming three months are the most powerful months of the growing light in the entire year. The expansion of light in the spring represents new awareness, new consciousness and new growth. Yummy!

For this reason, the spring equinox marks the birth of a new cycle of time and initiates a 3-month season of personal creativity and inspiration leading up to the summer solstice. We are now emerging into a new cycle of potential.

This is a very powerful time to set intentions and anchor your dreams for the future. Just feelthe inspiration of who you are – your essence, your creativity, your inspired visions and what calls to you. These messages are coming directly from your Higher Self. They can be a big picture vision of the future or very practical guidance in present time. All inspiration and message are a part of your expansion.

Keep in mind appreciation and mindfulness. Remember that this year’s power lies within you. What are your practices of appreciation and mindfulness? The frequency of full appreciation in the present moment is absolutely the best way to manifest your dreamsbecause, it puts you in alignment with your highest potentials. Explore those simple practices that work for you and then commit to them.
I am planting lots of intentions and I have lots of exciting changes on my horizon. I am super excited to share with you over the next few weeks! Be sure to stay tuned in.

In the meantime, I invite you to plant some of your own intentions for the coming year with the following powerful spring equinox ceremony. As you know, I love ritual and ceremony and I am happy to share with you one of the ways that I, in addition to being mindful in appreciation, love to deeply connect to my intentions.

To prepare for this ceremony, set aside some quiet time and ask yourself the following questions:

What are my intentions for my life and what am I planting today?
What kind of person do I choose to be?
What kind of relationship do I choose to have?
What kind of health do I choose to enjoy?
What project or idea am I choosing to birth?
What kind of future do I choose for myself and for humanity?
What kind of relationship to Source am I choosing?

Once you’ve gathered the answers to these questions, prepare yourself to enter into the Spring Equinox Intention Planting Ceremony.

1. Find a place with soil – it could be your back yard, a park, next to a nature trail, or even a potted houseplant.
2. Find a small rock, stone or crystal.
3. Sit quietly and place your intentions into the stone. Feel the powerful desire of the seed wanting to birth from within you. Witness its passion and potential.
4. Call upon Mother Earth and Divine Spirit. Invite into the space with you the energy of Mother Earth to receive and nourish this seed of your intention and for Divine Spirit to bless and guide the seed. You may also invite in any angels, guardians, deities or guides aligned with your faith and feel free to bring in any other ceremonial process – sage, sweetgrass, prayer, song, chant, create an alter or a crystal grid, drum or rattle.
5. Plant your intentions. While expressing your commitment to be a steward of this seed, plant the stone into the soil. Verbalize your devotion to nourish, protect and guide this seed to its fullest potential in this lifetime.
6. At times, fear, neglect, foul weather or doubt may threaten the life of this seed. Make a vow to see it through these times and ask for guidance and faith during the process.
7. Allow – now let it go and let Spirit handle the details. At times, you’ll be called to action on behalf of this seed and spend many hours in service. Without hesitation, do so. At times, you will be called to be patient and allow the seed to incubate. Listen to Spirit and you will always know the next step.

The seeds we plant individually become the harvest we share in the future.
