Do you compete with or compare yourself to others? Do you look to others to know better than you, what’s best for you? Do you look to tell others what is best for them? Dear Friend, Can you see your unique life flow, your embroidery of the fabric of your life? Have you learned to complement your life? We all have a place within this beautiful embroidery of life; now is the time to know it, enjoy it, express it as our right, being mindful to never overdo it because we feel our role or position is more advanced, or better than others. “Being part of an agenda beyond ourselves liberates us to complement each other rather than compete with each other.” Joseph Stowell Sometimes, when there is a sense of personal or collective emptiness, there is the need to be recognized, which creates attachment to our own talents, role or virtues. For Contentment, we must learn to complement rather than compete. Nature works on the principle of complementarity. This can be seen with the seasons, day and night, the continual cyclical process of birth, growth, maturity, decay, death and rebirth. We are all different, therefore we can appreciate that our personal relationship with life will be different for each of us and expressed in a different way. What we are learning and how we are growing is a very personal spiritual process and is contributing to the evolution of humanity, even if it doesn’t make sense to everyone around us. When we recognize the equal value of all things, then we stop being illogical – comparing, competing, feeling superior or inferior, or striving to be what we are not. “You look at one thing as good, something else as bad. You get attached to what you consider as good. You desperately try to avoid what you consider as bad, and of course that will rule you from inside. This is not the way to be. Seeing everything just the way it is – that is the way to be within. If you see something other than what is there, it means you are contaminating the world with your opinions and prejudices.” Sadhguru A solution to aligning with contentment can be as simple as learning to meditate, develop stress-release techniques, get to know your higher self or understand life through a spiritual perspective. In its simplest definition, 'spirituality' includes a sense of connection to something bigger than us and to have a quality life of supporting values. It is living and applying those values in our interactions with others. It is tapping in deeply to our inner guidance system, even when the outside systems are unstable and unreliable. When we realize our true nature as spiritual beings, we can easily access the safety and stability of our Source Self. By restoring our connection with the Source, we can discover our original state of peace, love, happiness, purity, wisdom and bliss. The path of a Spiritual practice is helpful in regaining our power in the present moment. When we consciously stop the patterns of competing and comparing, we open into the freedom of feeling content. In the spaciousness of contentedness, we can fully engage in deepening connection to our unique and fullest expression, trusting we have a place within this beautiful embroidery of life. So It Is! Living Free of Comparison In this audio, Sadhguru reminds us that trying to be like another human being is a deep insult to the Creator, who has made every human being absolutely unique. https://isha.sadhguru.org/us/en/wisdom/article/living-free-of-comparison How can I best support you?

Dear Friend, I hope this post finds you well? I’m home from my 6-day Bhava Spandana Program (BSP) with Sadhguru,( check out more here), 250 Isha foundation volunteers and 700 other participants from around the globe. We all did powerful spiritual practices and slept together (not that there was much sleep to be had) on cushion matts on the floor of the Mahima (pictured below). Mahima (meaning Grace) is a 39,000 sq. ft free-spanning meditation hall – the largest of its kind in the western hemisphere. More than an impressive structure, Mahima is a potent sphere for self-transformation, the core of which is a powerful energy source that will be vibrant for nearly a thousand years. Reverberating with fluid, feminine energies, Mahima facilitates the gradual movement of energy up the spine allowing those who sit inside to become meditative, effortlessly. Read full description here. My experience in the presence of Sadhguru in the Mahima was very personal. It seemed we each came to the event in different stages of spiritual development and received what was needed for our enlightenment in this lifetime. I was grateful that my commitment to spiritual practice and development prepared me for unabashed sensations of blissful crying and laughter. Liberation from the mind and body. It wasn’t easy, my physical body was able to do the work involved but I’ve felt the discomfort of it being stretched repeatedly for another week since returning, slowly coming back on-line. Mentally and emotionally feeling that I don’t know who I am. I’m experiencing a very subtle ego death, a quite disorienting and necessary purification. Courting the death of the out grown parts of myself by being willing to risk change. This is when I taste moments of great inner peace and stillness. “Willingness is a radical practice, the taproot from which every other practice is nourished.” Meredith Gould I think being willing is a key for me; willing to commit to a spiritual practice and following through daily with my practice. With enough repeated practice and process of constantly dying (releasing old patterns) and being reborn in present moment without entering again into the habits, identifications and cycles of the mind I’ve experienced a strong and profound inner transformation. In the East, this is what is mostly defined as ‘enlightenment’. My practice of willingness allowed me to align and receive Sadhguru’s offering of Bhava Spandana, an exuberant experience of unbounded love and joy that I now get to blossom more fully within me and around me! My experience also enhanced my desire to serve all of you in deepening your connection to the Divinity that is you, within you and all around you. So that what ever comes your way you will know how to transform it into something beautiful. “Every human being should have at least a simple spiritual process in their lives. If they have that, they will live and die well.“ Sadhguru How’s your inner life? Do you have a spiritual practice in place that supports you and that you support daily? Do you have a process in place that helps you self-reflect and make the necessary shifts in perspective so that you may experience more ease, grace and freedom in all areas of your life? Do you struggle with the commitment and willingness necessary to break old habits and instill new ones supporting your Best Self? Do you want to taste moments of great inner peace and stillness? I would love to help you, whether it’s through an:

It’s important that you feel as though your self is constantly in steady forward movement Dear Friend, I’m in preparation, supporting my Best Self in forward movement. I leave tomorrow to attend a Bhava Spandana Program with Sadhguru. The Bhava Spandana Program is an advanced meditation program designed by Sadhguru to provide the opportunity to go beyond the limitations of body and mind and experience higher levels of consciousness. The word Bhava literally means “sensation.” Spandana can be loosely translated as “resonance.” Through powerful processes and meditations, the Bhava Spandana Program creates an intensely energetic situation, where individuality and the limitations of the five sense organs can be transcended, creating an experience of oneness and resonance with the rest of existence. It offers an exuberant experience of unbounded love and joy. Ahhhh my cup of tea! I’m excited, nervous and not at all sure what to expect. I have done 3 other programs with him, so I do trust that my decision to participate in this program will do much to forward move and align me with my Best Self!
