Sovereignty: my ability to consciously choose to attract and reflect; Individuality, Health, Wealth, Happiness, Pleasure, Freedom, Love. … more
For me, sovereignty is about knowing who I am and what I truly am as an individual; knowing my unique role, contribution, and responsibility to my divine mission and humanity, and masterfully using my body and mind as vehicles to deliver those gifts. Sovereignty is truly me being a responsible creative force and conduit between spirit and matter for the extension of the good, the holy and beautiful. It’s my choice to teach love and offer a pathway for others to know themselves as Love. “Sovereignty is profound yet illusive concept; it is natural state of being inherent to the feminine.” Alison McLean When I was child, I didn’t know how to recognize my own power; my right to steer the direction of my life. My life was in chaos and I learned how to survive. At the age of 17, I left foster care. I was afraid to take control of my life completely. Often, I handed my power over to another, seeking safety and security. I didn’t do this consciously; it was a subtle and hidden dynamic. My family’s dysfunction developed in me codependency. In the shadow of dependency, I often felt like I had to go along to get along; to be safe and secure. I didn’t fully know my own value and worth, so I unconsciously was seeking someone else to assign it for me, especially the unconscious masculine energy, whether within a woman or a man. In doing this, I served to meet their needs and wants as a way of getting my own needs met. I had relinquished my personal power within relationships, in my career, in life, in general. Eventually my suffering turned into a call from the Source within me to grow, expand and reclaim my Sovereign- Self; to fully awaken my Feminine energy seeking greater inspiration and meaning. This increased my receptivity to intuitive guidance so my more rational side (masculine energy) could then externally act upon it. Because I lacked confidence in the external world, I first needed to awaken courage to act upon my convictions before I could empower my inner masculine to act. When I answered the call of Source to grow, and expand, I reawakened my connection to the Divine and honored myself accordingly by creating harmony and balance of the sacred feminine & masculine through the embracing of alchemical teachings and practices, which foster my upward spiral of wholeness and reconnection to my Sovereign Self. This dynamic occurred both internally & externally in my relationships. When I made this commitment to embark on a path of spiritual growth; seeing every experience as a lesson, I made the transition from the child who blames others and feels sorry for herself while unwittingly hurting others- into a conscious woman. I learned to examine my thoughts and actions, so they become wise and humble through self-reflection and the seeking of a higher truth. When I learned to focus on the Divine (an eternal source of love) and to see myself as reflection of the Divine by delighting in my archetypal Gods & Goddesses, I became filled and inspired with love. This fuels me to create situations that reflect Love. Then it is possible for me to live Heaven on Earth in every aspect of my life, as I am the embodiment of love, so I attract a reflection of it in every moment.
