Inspiration to help you find your own way

Do you compare yourself with others?
I do, sometimes it's helpful when it inspires growth in me and opens optimal potential within my experiences.
However, there is the danger of comparing myself to others in an unhealthy manner and then I find myself slipping into thoughts and feelings of despair. Like a weed, it can quickly become rooted. I begin to spiral out of alignment with my core connection, necessary growth, and path of least resistance to my optimal life. When this happens, it can contribute to feeling anxiety, depression, shame, envy, leading to self-criticism, lack of self-worth and it rapidly undermines my confidence.
Does this sound familiar?
In the evolutionary framework of survival, having a mental ability to compare our capabilities with others', or to sort out whether we might be acceptable to another social group was necessary for our growth as humans. It makes a lot of sense, especially if the foundation of our decisions are locked into “life or death ” situations.
However, in the present times, this outcome from the past can tip from being helpful to our survival to being unhelpful to our daily life. This learned habit to judge ourselves in comparison to others is hardwired in our brain, a prejudice against ourselves that was trained into us since childhood. We pay more attention to what we see as our own weaknesses about us, we compare and measure ourselves negatively. We often then drop into a pattern of despair and stop all forward progression. The more you put your attention on something, the more it tends to show up giving us evidence that what we think is true.
When we learn to take a more balanced view and consciously look for and acknowledge the positives about us, receive the compliments when they arrive, lean into the affirming praise, we begin to take on a more balanced perspective about ourselves.
We begin to free up our energy and feel better, entering back into "our unique rhythm and flow" with life.
When we commit to learning how to manage unhelpful thoughts, we begin to understand our mind is defending its own prejudice against itself. These are simply thoughts and not facts. You can learn to let these go and redirect your focus building a positive prosperous flow to your optimal life experience.
One way to shift out of the comparing and despairing cycle and come into a more balanced view is to adopt a mindfulness practice. Try this simple conscious breathing practice ~

Find yourself in a relaxed position
Close your eyes
On the exhale -> gently place the tip of your tongue on the roof your mouth behind your two front teeth
Inhale slowly for 4 counts
Hold your breath for 7 counts
Exhale slowly for 8 counts
Repeat for 4 cycles (no more than 4 cycles in one practice)

Are you overworking your masculine energy? Are you a little "too" in touch with your feminine energy? What does that even mean?
These terms have nothing to do with gender. Everyone, whether male or female, is composed of both energies.
I often refer to them as "Yin and Yang, a concept used within Taoism." Yin refers to the feminine energies in life, and Yang refers to the masculine energies in life. Giving (doing) is an action of our masculine and receiving (being) is an action of our feminine. A balance of both energies is when we feel harmonious within ourselves. It's simple, yet oddly challenging to achieve.
Look at your typical day, you'll probably notice there are times when you are very action-oriented. At other times, you'll notice you're not really doing much of anything, but instead, you're simply being.
These two activities - doing and being - are the physical expression of the masculine and feminine energies. One is motion and momentum oriented, the other is stillness and feeling oriented. One is the essence of creating and making energy, providing the spark of life force. The other allows the creation to manifest by holding the fertile space needed for the matter to take form, providing the womb space for living things to grow into being. This is true for both men and women!
When it comes to the quality of our intimacy, life success and overall wellbeing, it's essential to ensure you're bringing an equal balance of feminine and masculine energy to your life. Once you learn to harmonize these energies, you will find freedom within you that you have never experienced before.

Today clients and I talked about feeling terrified and tethered to deep shadow conditioning.
Feeling terrified is a common theme in my personal evolution and that of my clients.
Can you relate?
I believe terror is one of the humanities shared core issues.
Terror can cause us to expand and create medicine within us OR contract and create poison within us.
The poisons "affect" results in the many manifestations of “exclusion”; such as isolation, separation, rejection, depression, shame, humiliation, addiction, violence, disease, prejudices, preferences, and judgement to name a few.
Terror is a core feeling that is ignited within us during intense negative childhood trauma (experiences/conditioning
with family, community, society, or our ancestral lineage). Often, the root cause for this terror is unconscious and paralyzes us from knowing healthy growth and full expression.
The moment of conditioning happened when you were taught to override your natural impulses as a child to remain “safe and secure”. As a result, you learned to defer to your outer world for direction instead of your inner connection as the Source of Life that you are naturally. For some of us, this conditioning began while we were still in the womb.
This reoccurring moment of conditioning reinforces a feeling of “separation” from the Source of Love that we are and causes us to contract, recoil in terror. Building walls of protection with layers of stories that we believe will keep us safe from the overwhelming shame and humiliation of our fullest expression-being seen, heard and integral to life.
We silently suffer.
We settle into a conditioned and familiar way of being telling ourselves its good enough and that we really don’t need any more than what we have already experienced. All the while we are suffering mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Some of us learn to cope with life and others to be continuously overwhelmed by life. This unconscious stance never allows the essential shift within our hearts and mind necessary to make us whole in our Source Energy of Love and Life.
To uncoil from the shadows and grip of terror we must consciously pause and feel into the space it resides within us. Become curious about its root cause. Question if we are still living in the same conditions once put upon us. Do we now have the power to choose differently, to trust? Is it possible to use the feeling of terror as usable power to grow us into our fullest potential?
We can choose to not feel our feelings and remain stuck, recycling in terror. Or we can choose to feel our feelings, trust and take inspired actions. Even though we feel afraid our personal power allows us to use the intensity of inspired action to liberate us. We remember to trust our natural impulses again and our instincts realign us with Source Energy.
When we choose to allow the experiences that caused us to recoil in terror to be medicine for our healing and growth, we align with the love that we are and know our essential offering to humanity.
To begin today to alchemize terror’s grip and be set free turn within. Pause, stand where you are, ground into the earth, take a deep breath, and relax into Earth Mother. Place your attention on your breath, consciously breathe, slowing down your breath. Inhale fully for the count of 2, exhale fully for the count of 4. This shifts you from fear (fight and flight condition) to a relaxed, restore and renew condition. You’re opening the space within your mind and nervous system to receive the wisdom of your hearts knowing that all is well now. Stay with your breath and the cradle of the Earth, feel your feelings until they release, and you feel relief within your emotional body. Integrate this release with your breaths inhale and exhale, this rewires your brain and nervous system with the medicine of Love and opens your mind to new possibilities.

This path is designed to simplify principles that guide the evolution of awareness and specifically spiritual development.
So, let’s look a little deeper into this invitation!
Definition of Consciousness; noun
is the state or quality of awareness or of being aware of an external object or something within oneself
We’re smart, yet we’re not necessarily sufficiently conscious. The consciousness level we vibrate at is equivalent to the lens we use to see reality. Our current perceptions, beliefs, mindset, and values are a result of our current consciousness level. Whenever we evolve our consciousness level, we break away from our current conscious frequency resulting in a shedding away of our old belief system and attitudes. This is the same as shedding the lens we use to see reality and adopting a new lens.
A higher consciousness or seeing through a new lens is ultimately associated with the quality of our self-knowledge. We learn what is precise and true about our unconscious mind, even though we might initially be appalled at what we’re discovering.
This is the challenge; to become more conscious we must learn what we don’t want to know, and we must recognize what we don’t want to see. We expose from the depths of our psyche our compulsive participation in suffering and self-defeat.

Your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, values, and actions right now are outputs of your consciousness level today. Our level of consciousness is likely to remain stationary only when we fail to explore our deeper dimensions. When we understand our realty from the fields of quantum science, psychology, and great spiritual philosophies we become wiser, cleverer, happier and holistically integrated. Without this self-knowledge, we fall under the influence of inner dynamics that produce suffering and self-defeat.
Self-Evolution is the most direct path out of suffering and self-defeat. Evolving your consciousness level interprets into a fuller and richer life. When you have a clear sight of yourself and the world:
• You become uniquely empowered.
• You can interact with the world fully without reservation, without the fear common of people who are not consciously evolving.
• You know your weaknesses and you take courageous steps to address them while working on the things that give you meaning in this world.
• You experience greater ease, pleasure, and resolve.
This level of personal response-ability leads to a happier and more abundant life.

My own life story is a journey of healing from sadness, confusion and severe depression brought on by childhood trauma; a state of trauma that I hid very well in my drive to succeed and prove my worth to myself and the world. Fit in! I chose early on to follow a spiritual path for my healing.
On some deep level I understood that my childhood traumas and, consequently the condition of my life unfolding, were an initiation into the path of the wounded healer and the study of the science of healtheology, muscular therapy, fitness, meditation, shamanism, alchemy, yoga...and more (I did say I was driven to prove my worth, Ha!).
Every practice I share with my clients has been woven into my daily life. These practices have truly been “my healing balm and transformational medicine I offer the world". Through my experiences and the spiritual practices, I share, I have learned how to ride the waves of my ongoing transformational healing, which has led me to full expression in a rich, deep, and meaningful life.
My experience has taught me that everything exists as energy... alive with spirit. I am an energy reader, guide and +healing practitioner.
Healtheologists learn that, at any level of being, each soul has a threefold purpose: to experience, learn and express itself.
Shamanic cultures recognize there is a web of life connecting all that is alive. Everything alive is called the spirit that lives in all things. Everything on Earth is interconnected. Any belief that we are separate from other life forms or living beings-such as the Earth, the stars, the moon the sun, the wind-is purely illusion, and it’s the shaman’s role in the community to keep harmony and balance between humankind and the forces of nature.
Alchemy is the process by which each of us moves from our primal state of unconsciousness through the various alchemical stages represented by our most elemental experiences, to the realization of full awakening or enlightenment. It is the interactive dance through which we are constantly weaving spirit and matter into the multidimensional tapestry of life. Alchemy is a process that spirals from cycle to cycle, ever upward and forward; repeating itself as required to transform and change us through the experiences of our body, soul, psyche, and spirit. In alchemical terminology it is called the “Opus”, or “Great Work”.
The word yoga literally means "union" or "to merge". More than a set of physical postures or exercises, Sadhguru defines yoga as a science to determine the nature of who you are and what you want to be.

Every second of every day you are “being” something. That is why we are called ‘Human Beings’ and not ‘Human Doings’. It is our “beingness” that defines our lives and therefore it would behoove you to begin the process of reflecting on what state of being you are choosing as you go through your life.

but also the quality of our 'being'
that influences our excellence,
flow and fulfillment of our Best Self.
The reason this is so important is because of the immutable law of the universe that tells us “Your Beingness Creates Your Doingness.” In other words, whatever you are doing you are doing because of the state of being you are in. In the world of physicality, we usually tend to focus on what we are doing because that is what we “see” in a functioning mode that our physical senses can detect and analyze for us.
“If you think your life is about ‘doingness’, you do not understand what you are about. Your soul doesn’t care what you do for a living-and when your life is over, neither will you. Your soul cares only about what you’re BEING while you’re doing whatever you’re doing. It is a state of ‘beingness’ the soul is after, not a state of doingness.” ~Neale Donald Walsch
We have been conditioned all our lives to prioritize our physical senses to define the events and circumstances of our lives, so we reason that what we are doing is the end all and be all our experience. What we fail to realize is that life is immersed in cause and effect relationship. One of the primary cause and effect relationships is that what you are being is the cause for whatever you end up doing (the effect).
Everything you do comes from the state of being you are choosing for yourself whether your choice is made consciously or unconsciously. So, one of the best things you can do for yourself is make the conscious choice to begin monitoring your state of being as you go through your daily routines. You can easily determine what your states of being are by observing what you are doing at any given point in time i.e. closed minded, lying, controlling, avoiding, shaming, blaming, or open minded, receptive, transparent, trusting, response-able, accepting, allowing …
Here is the conscious choice that I would like you to consider. Choose the state of being where you are constantly “supporting your Best Self” in the decisions you make about your life. You can describe this state of being as “being a supporter of your Best Self.”
Webster Dictionary definition of Supporter:
When you become a supporter of “what’s best for you”, you only choose those experiences and states of being that “support your Best Self”. You support (cause) the process of prioritizing your Self in the decisions you make about your life. When you are a “supporter of your Self” you are “being responsible” for the creation of your life; you are prioritizing how you want your life to be lived.
Can you see how supporting yourself can take you out of the struggle and turmoil of petty states of being and project you into more proactive and enlightened states of being?
Your beingness creates your doingness. Remember this immutable concept because it is working in your life as you are reading this!
You can keep asking yourself to evaluate your current state of being or you can be more proactive by consciously choosing the state of being that supports you as much as possible. This is the optimal plan because you are choosing those states of being that support you, and from those states of being you begin doing things that support alignment with Your Best Self.

I love this time of deep reflection. The time of year for endings and new beginnings, the energy is so fresh and vibrant; the potential for transformation is huge. “If” we allow ourselves to tap in... can you feel it?
I’ve been reflecting on my best Spiritual Self-Care Practices! Those activities that nurture my Spirit and connection to Source. These practices help me to tap into the necessary transformation that calibrates my connection to ease, growth and total wellbeing.
Your Higher Self is the you that is disentangled from, and not influenced by, the ego’s fear.
Spiritual Self-Care is liken to a religious practice or spiritual system for me. The activity I engage in to relink to my Best Self / Source Self and meaning for my life. Just as it is essential to nurture my body with nutritious food, it is necessary to nurture my Best Self with Spirit.
I have found over the years that my clients who also adopt a Spiritual Self- Care practice are able to make essential shifts in their life with greater ease and wellbeing.
I believe it is important that each one of us fosters a relationship with our Higher Selves. Your Higher Self wants to do nothing more than communicate with you and guide you to be the best version of you. By tapping into our Higher Selves, we place ourselves on a journey to our greatest potential with the ease and grace that not only benefits us, but anyone who enters our path.
There are many spiritual paths and spiritual support systems. Some of us may find that one spiritual path that feels right, helps us find meaning and creates a deeper understanding for life. Others may find spiritual meaning through an eclectic blend of different spiritual traditions. Still others may discover their own path.
Regardless of where you find spiritual meaning, a certain amount of effort and discipline are necessary for establishing and maintaining spiritual nurturance.

Greetings Sovereign Goddess,
I’m sitting here reflecting on the year, allowing the memories to rise and inform my “feeling body”. It’s revealing to me the places and spaces where I’m in shadows of being. See, being a Sovereign Goddess for me is having the freedom to feel fully ALL of my emotions, the pleasure and pain that shapes who I am, revealing my Original Beauty.
A lot has transpired this year for me personally and in the world around me. Some experiences have been beautiful and uplifting, inspiring deep feelings of pleasures. Other experiences have been jolting, uncomfortable and had us come undone in expected swings of suffering. Being response-able in both places of bliss and suffering is the path to be a Sovereign Goddess!
Feeling deeply is critical both for a woman’s personal evolution and for the evolution of the world. Holding a disapproving perspective of our rich emotional lives results in debilitating depression and a sense of being disconnected from life. This approach creates all the tragedy and abuse of our planet that we see all around us. For me, it resulted in a state of numbness, confusion and inability to feel, much less reveal, the truth of my darkness.
I believe when the feminine in a culture is repressed, the consequences are tragic. We end up with violence, a greedy corporate culture, raping our planet of resources and the people powerless in suffering. The game becomes power and profit; ego affirming instead of life affirming. We then pass the responsibility for feeling our pain and navigating in the shadows down to our children and grandchildren, who will have to live with the consequences of our unwillingness to feel the fullest expressions of our emotions.
Through various way of connecting, I get in touch with my emotions nearly every day. One of my favorite ways is to dance. By feeling my feelings and moving them through my body regularly, I stay in touch with my ever-changing emotions and ready to express whatever comes up. Staying in touch with myself this way does not spare me from challenging life upsets and shadows. Instead, deep insight reveals understanding as I move through them, allowing me to embody wisdom in my unfolding and medicine in my life’s offering.
This morning dancing is helping me to feel what’s left to release from the year making space for the lightness of being in the New Year emerging!
My desire is to give you permission to dance with your shadow too—daily, if need be. To feel your deep emotions, and to embody them completely. This is another step to exploring sovereignty.

Take a few minutes to consider these questions and journal your responses. What do you need for support? How will you know you are receiving what you require? How much energy (time and resources) are you willing to invest in yourself to make this happen? What is your 1st step to inspired action in moving forward? Do that!

When I learned to move beyond minds identifications into Source Awareness, I began to manage my emotional swings between feeling good or bad. This was a game changer in my ability to feel deeply all my emotions from a place of peace within and align with total wellbeing.
"Mind" is just a procession of thoughts passing in front of you on the screen of the brain. You are an observer. But you start getting identified with beautiful, special things—those are enticing. And once you get caught in the beautiful things you are also caught in the ugly, repulsive things causing - suffering because mind cannot exist without duality. Awareness cannot exist with duality, and mind cannot exist without duality. Awareness is non-dual, and mind is dual. So, committing to practices that allow and nurture your capacity to just “watch” the thoughts that stream across the projector screen of life is a game changer in aligning with total wellbeing.
My Meditation Practice strengthened my ability to “watch” and develop my capacity to be a "watcher" while feeling deeply "all my emotions" without losing myself in dramatic swings of happiness and suffering.
Meditation is my game changing practice!
Other lifestyle commitments like multiple forms of exercise, Pilates, Hatha yoga, regular time in nature, plant-based nutrition, aligning closely with the cycles of the natural world are another way I enhance my meditation practice and overall wellbeing.
